David Darling has been a science writer for more than 40 years and is the author of dozens of books on many different aspects of science and mathematics. He has a PhD in astronomy, has lectured widely around the world, and is a regular guest on radio stations in the US and UK. Originally from Derbyshire he now lives in Dundee.
